portland oregon wedding sites and reception venues

After making the big decision to say "YES", selecting a venue for your wedding and the site for your reception is one of the most critical decisions for the Big Day.  The event site selected will in large part determine the overall feeling of your reception and your guests experience of your Special Day.  On Portland Wedding Venues website, we provide information on only Portland Oregon's Best Wedding Sites and Reception Venues.

We have selected these sites because of the superior business ethics of the site owners.  The recommended sites allow the Bride and Groom choices over their wedding and reception.  All Portland Wedding Venue sites allow your own choice of caterers, rental companies, florists, cake bakeries, music selection and officients.  Because you want your wedding reception to be special, none of our recommended sites are typical wedding industry venues whose only purpose is quickly maximize profits and to hold as many generic events as possible in any one day!

Save up to 25% on Catering and other services at our Venues!  The wedding and reception venues recommended by Portland Wedding Venues do not require a payment or kickback from the caterers or other vendors.  All of our sites have open vendor policies so you can cater your own event or select the professionals that match your tastes!  Many of popular wedding sites such as Crown Ballroom, Empress Palace, Wonderball Room, and Jupiter Hotel impose a 15% to 25% kickback from the caterer for all food, beverage, and service provided as a "marketing fee".  An open catering policy and competition at the sites recommended by Portland Wedding Venues mean that your event will cost less and your guests get more!

Deposits:  Be careful with putting down large deposits on wedding items and caterers!  Even in the best of years, many wedding related  businesses can't make it through the slow season and disappear before the summer weddings.  In 2008-2009, even large businesses such as The Empress Palace in Washington and The Columbia River Gorge Hotel went out of business.  Be wary of caterers, cake bakers, and florists wanting any more than 25% down!
